The purpose of this Association is to promote competitive golf in a friendly, welcoming, and supportive atmosphere where good sportsmanship, general knowledge of rules of play, and proper golf etiquette are expected and encouraged. Several social events will be held each year to promote friendship and camaraderie among golfers. Weekly tournaments will be played in accordance with the USGA rules except as modified by the local rules of the course.

Article III – Membership

Membership is open to all women golfers who have a USGA handicap for 18 holes.  New members who do not have an established USGA handicap shall collect six, 9-hole scores or three, 18-hole scores, or any combination that totals 54 holes of golf at any regulation golf course with a rate and slope designation. Only members with a handicap are eligible for tournament awards each week based on a maximum handicap of 27 for nine holes.

Golf is a game of integrity and honesty and as such all members are expected to observe all USGA and local course rules and scoring standards. All score cards should reflect an honest score for the round. Members should not sign or attest to a card that does not represent an accurate score.

Engaging in conduct that is contradictory to these values, such as making disparaging racial/ethnic comments, using profanity or other intimidating actions that are directed at any of our members, will not be tolerated and are grounds for removal from the WWGA membership.
